The term is primarily used to describe its unique appearance. Sauce is thicker, more liquid consistency and looks stickier. The color of sauce can range from deep amber to bright mustard. Sauce is similar to sugar in both its consistency and color, but sauce extractions contain high levels of terpenes and are typically the most flavorful of extracts.
